The New Rivers of Life Church, Inc. is an organized fellowship of believers, whose primary purpose is to have a place where people can come visit, join and fellowship, learn about God, be saved by Jesus Christ, and be empowered to serve the Kingdom of God. It is a vibrant, exciting place of worship, nestled in a loving and holistic family environment; a place where God, through His Holy Spirit, leads and guides us, thus lifting us to greater and greater heights in prayer, worship, praise and life! We flow in the Apostolic Anointing, experiencing the Glory of God in everything.

Apostle Kenneth Jones, with his wife Prophetess Kelita Jones by his side, founded Rivers of Life C.O.G.I.C. in December of 2003, which was later changed to The New Rivers of Life Church. Both born and raised in Brooklyn and having a passion to see change in people’s lives, have dedicated time to the ministry, pushing people to pursue the will of God and be the best versions of themselves. Outside of church, Apostle Kenneth is an accountant/ financial advisor, and Prophetess Kelita serves as a practitioner for the top medical provider in the United States, specializing in Oncology. Leading by example, they encourage the people of God to live a life of balance, having a spirit of excellence in every area of their lives: church, work, education, family and relationships. Presently they reside in Nassau County, NY with their one daughter; Kelisa, who also serves a major role in the ministry. Although they have one daughter, they have a love for young people and are looked to as a mother and father figure by many of TNROL’s young people who refer to them as “Ma and Pops.” They have been married since 1995 and are looking forward to many more years of marriage, ministry and life together. They were raised in God fearing homes, served under great leaders and are now together pouring the love, knowledge and wisdom they received into others.
OUR MINISTRIES
Leading Men's Department
The Men’s Department is led by Apostle Kenneth Jones. It is a group of Christian men bound by Christ, love, family and a love for the Church and Church family they are joined with. As Eagle Men, they believe it is time to soar into greatness, both naturally and spiritually; Soar to lofty heights 1) as an eagle in the world, being the men, sons, brothers and husbands that all can be proud of 2) in the Church, being the best men of God that our God has called and planned for them to be. They sharpen each other through monthly prayer calls and fellowship nights, praying for and encouraging each other. Eagle men also believe in investing in our next and younger generations and spend time talking and enlightening them in our “Boys to Men” sessions. This new mentoring program gives them a greater opportunity to impact and help direct the lives of the boys and young men, with one-on-one interaction and leadership.

Proverbs 31 Women's Department
Led by Prophetess Kelita Jones. The primary mission is to push women into their God given destiny and purpose. As women, they strive to lead dynamic lives, submitting to the purpose and plan of God for their lives. The Proverbs 31 Women are truly sisters in Christ, working together in unity and love to support the ministry and one another to be better. Through empowerment sessions led by Prophetess Kelita Jones, tea-parties, outings, and even birthday celebrations and family gatherings, they have not only grown spiritually, but have had fun enjoying this gift of life that God has given.
Joshua Youth Department
Led by Elder Shakema Knight and Prophetess Yvonne McIntosh. In the Book of Joshua, a younger generation entered the promise land through leaning on the teachings of Moses who walked before them, the instructions of God, and the faith in God and courage to move forward. We believe that it is a perfect model for our youth. Our youth are encouraged to grow in their natural and spiritual gifts, are given opportunities to participate in dance, singing and various art expressions, provided with outlets to safely express their questions and concerns about life in and outside the church, and most importantly taught the Word of God.
The TNROL Music Team
Consisting of a group of young people, the mission of the Music Team is to cultivate and usher in the presence and glory of God. Their purpose is to set the atmosphere with music, which is conducive to the enhancement of the service and to the personal worship experience. Currently, the music team at is beginning to expand into a full arts department with mime and praise dance. The children's music ministry is also an integral part of the TNROL Music team. "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD all yea lands. Serve the LORD with gladness :come before his presence with singing". Psalm 100:1-2
